“The mixture-granulator of high capacity “Kaskad” ensures advanced refining and high degree of homogenization of clay raw material with or without admixtures in production of ceramic brick of soft-mud molding or of semidry pressing.
Operating principle of the units is rather simple. It is based on two well-known ways of clay treatment – cutting chip scrap from one grinding plate (knife) and pressing through other perforated grinding plate (pan mills). The combined effect is achieved due to two factors. First, the both ways of treatment are made by one knife, which, at the same time, delivers clay from one perforated grinding plate to another due to a definite inclination of a frontal edge. Second, the shaft of the mixture-granulator is equipped with four pairs of working bodies (knife – grinding plate) to have multiplier effect on raw material in one operation.
Configuration of the unit (number and shape of working bodies) is completed after primary tests of clay raw material, taken from client’s quarry. All particular qualities of clay are taken into account to find out all its process capabilities and to get the maximum quality results after its processing in mixture-granulator.
